Remembering Angelo Dundee

One of the great American sports teachers recently passed away. Angelo Dundee, who trained Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard to name a few, meant as much to the sport of boxing as almost anyone. Ballgame’s deep affection for boxing is on display with this quick clip remembering Dundee’s life and accomplishments. Clips from legends such as Bert Sugar and Teddy Atlas are also used in this piece.

For his third appearance on the Johnny Ballgame Show, former NFL player Vernon Turner stops by to discuss Super Bowl XLVI. Turner was a member of the 1990 Buffalo Bills who reached Super Bowl XXV and lost to the NY Giants (I.E. Scott Norwood game). Turner recalls that moment, being in the Bills locker room following the loss and many other aspects of his Super Bowl experience including the Whitney Houston National Anthem. All in all, a great interview. As always, the 6-year NFL veteran Turner delivers with great radio.
