The Johnny Ballgame Show is eastern Oregon’s only live and local sports talk radio program and is on Supertalk exclusively. Its host, John Mallory, is a local product and a 1998 graduate of La Grande High School.
The program is energetic, informative and comically entertaining. The show features various topics and segments. National, local, and collegiate sports discussions are featured, along with fantasy sports advice, daily trivia games, and prizes awarded to an audience of callers.
The show also has a collection of personalities and analysts who frequently appear both in-studio and over the telephone from diverse parts of the country.
The Johnny Ballgame Show is a fun, entertaining and exciting form of sports talk radio that has developed into an award-winning program. The Idaho Press Club has recognized the Johnny Ballgame Show as the state of Idaho’s top Sports Talk Show for two years (2008, ’09). The show expects to reach the same level of success in the familiar market of Eastern Oregon.

Monday through Friday on 1450 AM and 1490 AM.
Mallory graduated with a degree in Radio/TV Digital Media Production from the University of Idaho. While at Idaho, he began hosting the Johnny Ballgame Show over a period of four years. During that time, he was also hired by the University as a radio play by play broadcaster. Mallory served as “the voice” of the women’s basketball team for three years and also broadcasted a number of men’s basketball and football games during his three year tenure at the University of Idaho.
Mallory has now returned to La Grande to perform the Johnny Ballgame Show to an eager audience in Eastern Oregon.
